Prayer Requests are always confidential and can be placed in our prayer box at church or submitted via email to: Unity of Bandon
Prayer requests are forwarded to Silent Unity where they are held in prayer for an additional 30 days.
The E-mail Prayer Partner distribution list is another way to unite in prayer for yourself and your loved ones. Simply send a prayer request to Unity of Bandon and ask that it be distributed to the email prayer partners.
Unity of Bandon's pastoral care team and chaplains are available to pray with you before and after Sunday services and by appointment. They are available for home visits, hospital and care center visits, and wellness calls. These dedicated individuals are here to listen, pray, and support you on your spiritual journey. Please call the church office (541-347-4696) if you have a need.
The Prayer Team is a service of the ministry of Unity of Bandon. Individual sessions are confidential. Love offerings are accepted but not necessary.
There are traditions in many spiritual paths of laying on of hands as a blessing and as a healing. Jesus touched and blessed the sick,
as did the apostles. The action was symbolic of spiritual blessings flowing from one person to another.
"The Holy Spirit can only work with men [women] through men [women]. We pass its power and presence from one to another through our thoughts and spoken word, or the laying on of hands as in the Bible." -Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity
No matter what your religion or spiritual path, the Prayer Team welcomes you.
No matter how you think of God or what you call our Creator, we welcome you.
An Individual Prayer Session can be scheduled with the Prayer Team by calling Unity of Bandon: 541-347-4696.
The Prayer Team focuses on healing rather than curing.
To cure is to use a method of medical treatment to restore health. In curing the focus is placed only on the physical state.
A person is either cured or not cured. Healing is different. To heal means to become whole and sound. It attends to all aspects of
a person: spirit, soul, and body. Everyone can heal. No matter what the circumstances, a person can experience wholeness and
well-being.
In Spirit, we already are whole and healed. Through the healing process, we come to know and express this wonderful gift of
wholeness that already exists for us.
The Prayer Team supports healing and growth. We try to understand your personal experience. We encourage you to
explore fully your potential to heal. Deep-seated issues may arise for healing, and we ask that you be open to all the ways that
healing may take place.
We know that God is blessing you now with strength, courage, and peace.
A healing prayer session is an opportunity for you to pray with a team of trained volunteers. In the beginning of the session,
the Prayer Team spends a few moments in quiet meditation with you.
Then the facilitator begins to pray aloud, using positive, affirmative prayer that focuses on God's love. The prayer continues as
each volunteers reaches out to touch you gently, making a physical connection. You may feel a spark of spiritual connection as well.
Touch strengthens the feelings of love and support, helping us be more open to God's healing power.
Everyone! Healing is a whole-life experience. It affects all our levels of being: our physical health, our spirituality, our relationships,
our work and prosperity and so on.
Whether you have a specific healing need, or simply want to increase your awareness of God's presence in your life, feel free to call
on the Prayer Team. Healing prayer sessions can be held at Unity of Bandon, in the hospital, or in your home. If you or your loved
one cannot come to the Bandon area, we can provide healing prayer sessions for them "by proxy" without their physical presence
